La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Mains Hand Cream has become my new choice to keep my hands soft and moisturized. Made from an unscented mixture of moisturizing Shea Butter, Vitamin B3 and glycerin, it effectively helps repair dry, cracked skin while leaving smooth, moisturized hands.
I have tried a lot of hand creams over the years and although some of them are significantly better than others, none of them really completely cure the problem.
When I put on Cicaplast Mains for the first time, I was not too excited. There is no refreshing fragrance like some other hand creams. On the contrary, this is a very neutral product, like all other La Roche-Posay products I have tried so far.
The product does have a characteristic texture that is stickier and it takes longer to absorb. This is a good choice for people with dry and sensitive skin because it has a richer and more concentrated texture than some others.
This hand cream has some disadvantages (mainly it takes a long time to be absorbed and greasy), so I think I mainly recommend it to those who have serious dryness and other problems, not just your “normal hand cream” user”. But if your hands become very, very dry like mine, this cream can definitely be a real savior!
